For the CAM and DRAM programs, the process from application submission to certificate issuance typically takes eight to fourteen weeks, depending on examination scheduling and document verification timescales. The FRM Fellowship process may take six to twelve months given the portfolio-based assessment format.

IBRAM is an independent international board. While our certifications are widely recognized and respected across industry and by many employers internationally, we are not a statutory body. Recognition by specific national medical regulatory authorities varies by country. We recommend confirming acceptance with your local regulator or employer. A full list of partner bodies and recognition agreements is available on request.

IBRAM certification requires Full Membership as a prerequisite. However, the membership fee is typically included in the certification application package, and applicants do not need to register separately before initiating a certification application. The Secretariat will guide you through both processes simultaneously.

An IBRAM accreditation specialist will arrange an initial consultation to discuss eligibility, the standards framework, and estimated timescales. We will then provide you with access to the self-assessment questionnaire and full documentation guidance.

Yes. IBRAM offers a reduced-rate fee structure for practitioners and institutions based in countries classified as lower-middle or low income by the World Bank. Reductions of up to 50% may apply on membership, certification, and examination fees. Please indicate your country in your enquiry and the Secretariat will advise on applicable rates.
